Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She's the daughter of television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to speak two languages has helped her get an employment in Miami as an assistant producer at Univision. As an assistant producer she was given the chance to collaborate with national program producers like Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was hired by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues, drug trafficking, and various other topics on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also a Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast of nine p.m. on English and again a Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she has more responsibility. She produced pieces about MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She was the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. The anchor also worked in the same job as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November 1985. She also has an older sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. On a family vacation in Ohio, the younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. As a senior in high school and yet with a clear idea what she wanted to do with her life Antonietta was able to visit her local University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her needs. The campus was beautiful and offered the degree she sought. When she finished high school, she made the decision to enroll at the university with a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was an affiliate. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
